Back to school ! First Grade here we come !
Welcome back!
Back to school 2010 and I have the receipts to show it. It is unbelievable how much stuff I had to buy for this year’s school start.
Now here is a totally new concept, well at least for me:
1st grade and second grade are being taught in the SAME class room at the SAME time; 39 students, 2 teachers, 2 grades.
In my opinion: not exactly a receipt for success. But let’s hope that I am either horribly mistaken, or that my son is so brilliant that he will just learn 2nd grade material.
So many questions:
Who had this brilliant idea?
Is this a consequence on the budget cuts?
Have the teachers ever taught in such environment? Or is my son one of 39 guinea pigs they want to try this teaching model?
We will see how this will work out and I will keep you posted.
