Here is a new one for me: I can’t wing it…. Sadly I have to admit that school, work, family and no assistant is not a winning combination after all.
With a heavy heart, I have decided to reduce my obligations and to focus on things that I know I can succeed in .
Through the process of elimination I had no choice but to let go of my economics class. A subject, that is fascinating, but very time consuming.
I will have to concentrate on hiring a new assistant and hopefully be able to go back to production increase and school shortly after.
I have to admit realizing that I cannot do something I put my mind to without neglecting something else in my life to an extend that it is neither manageable nor enjoyable is not something I want to experience again.
I prefer success to failure and will have to learn to set realistic goals. To avoid setting myself up for this type of disappointment ever again.
We live and learn,…
Now pick yourself up and move forward !
Trying to make sense of it all….
Okay we all know life is challenging, frustrating, constantly changing… but let’s take a closer look at our relationships.
How are they performing/ developing ?
The relationship with my kids for example:
Yes I will be there mother whether they like it or not. We have good days and bad days.
My purpose- at least how I see it is: protect them, feed them, love them, respect them, help them grow emotionally and mentally, and prepare them for life, with all its frustrations and challenges. I need to make sure I teach my children the difference between right and wrong, why being productive is important, and that they can achieve anything they put their minds to; that nothing worthwhile will come easy. Nobody is just handing out opportunities, you need to work hard.
Now let’s take a look at our partners.
We meet, we like each other, find things in common, catch each other doing things right, endless talks, facinating each other, we make each other happy, wanting to feel each other, have and build dreams together; we build our life together, planning for the future…
And what do we have now?
No plans, no dreams, plenty of responsibilities and seemingly endless bills to pay; The repeating wish for more sleep,a bigger bed and to just make it through the day. Where is the fun and happiness in that? Seriously, I can’t speak for everybody, but me personally. And that does not seem to be a winning combination for a loving and lasting relationship. It seems to be only a matter of time until some else comes along, that we do not have only obligations , responsibilities and endless bills in common with, someone we do not seem to be disappointing on a regular basis, but someone that seems to appreciate the way we really are, someone that makes us feel loved and appreciated, someone whose touch makes us tingle, someone we can dream together with, someone we want to build a future with…..
Follow me…..
What is our role in our relationship? And are we performiong?….
-Went back to school: check
(I am not sure what I was thinking; it is absolute torture at times. I am taking macroeconomics and fundamentals of speech/ public speaking.)
-Increase my income and grow my business: well, I am still looking for an assistant so I can focus on growing my business So, I would have say a work in progress
-Making sure my children know I love them: a work in progress
-Read more books: compromised and have been listening to audio books what a great invention. VERY RECOMENDABLE
-Stay healthy: need to go and see the doctor about that returning heart pain.
-Be happy: I am working on that as well. Let’s face it. I am VERY blessed
-Working out= well I am making an effort, but it may need improvement
-Working on my relationship:…. Hmmmm I need to dedicate more time to that
-Help others to grow and reach their potential: everyday a little bit, on step at the time
So far so good, let’s keep going.
